yay cars

this is my corolla.

i got it about a year and a half ago when a good friend who had been in this country for over 21 years was pulled over by the police on the way home from work and they realized "his papers" were not in order... never saw him again. they planned to ship him back to jamaica with only the clothes on his back, mind you he'd been here for 21 years, people tend to accumulate a lot of stuff in that amount of time. his house currently sits empty, probably repossessed by the bank. i talked to him a couple times while he was in detention awaiting deportation and i ended up buying the car off him so he would have some traveling money.
he had owned the car since the late 80's so i knew most of the history of the car, although that meant that i know that the car had been revved to 8,000 rpm daily since the late 80's though well taken care of otherwise.

since taking control of the car i tended to keep the revs to the 7,000 mark just to be a little easier on it, however i did road race it a couple times and tried a bit of beginner drifting.

anyways, last tuesday it succumbed to a history of overly spirited driving.

this is a bummer.
here are my options:

4agze -supercharger +turbo

right now the sr20det is winning due to the cost/power output ratio.
however, money is keeping anything from happening.
for now all i am gonna do is pull the short block/trans and clean and tidy the engine bay in preparation of whatever happens to happen in there.
